Feeling so proud at the band banquet...she has dedicated herself for years...improved each year getting higher rankings at districts, completing another year of drumline, marching, and concert band, playing four instruments...  Then I look!

I flash her a disapproving, yet kind glance.  She says...it is a 'tradition'.  Biting my tongue I am rewarded for my patience when I see the server's smile and she gently says, "You're welcome."
