A night to celebrate accomplishments!
First Brooke was honored at the Rose Banquet.  Each district school sent their top ten students.
What a wonderful program to honor the top high school academicians in Springfield.
Congratulations Brooke!

While we were celebrating Brooke's accomplishment Samantha and Grandpa were across town in another banquet and behind the scenes tour.  Their banquet was honoring the Wonders of Wildlife Volunteers for Bass Pro.  Congrats to Samantha!

Great night to be a mom, even if my slip was showing.

A box.
How can a box be of such consequence?
Breaking between midterm essays I ran to pick up Chase's anti-seizure meds.  To the tech it seemed too trivial to mention.  But, I wanted to know where the boxes were.  Not ocd, but the result of years of studied administration and care of a very precarious medication held in a glass bottle.  One that has to be kept at 72 degrees and shielded from light or else seizures ensue.  Been there done that.  Will not do again.  So I have been instructed that I must speak directly to a pharmacist to refill his prescription if I want to keep the boxes.  The boxes that I have been using for the last four+ years...
The point is if you ever wonder why parents of children with special needs are always running short on time.  This is why.  For most everyone any task takes more time than we think.  Then add that people throw away our boxes if we don't talk to the boss.
Oh well....that's how we roll.
fyi...they said the boxes were not retrievable.
(Our usual tech stepped in and carefully wrapped the bottles for transport home.  I appreciated that act of efficiency and care.)

Somethings in life are just right and there is no denying it.  I love seeing the smile on Nathan's face.  He is waking up again.  We are blessed to have a special PA come into his life, along with his extraordinary family.
Preparing for the park.

Heading out.

Enjoying!
Loving babies...favorite pastime.

Taking care of business...

This word has always bothered me.  Not when it is used properly. The word itself is not offensive.  But rather how people most often use it.  It has become an insult of degradation.  It has become synonymous with inflicting pain and callousness.
It can be cutting, it can be casual, it can be severe and it can be a joke.

Just don't use it. It was an innocent word.
Now it only harms those who are innocent.
Pinewood Derby Tonight!!
Nate's first night with Ben his PA. It was a great night. So many smiles I couldn't hardly believe it. Thanks to the Neal family Nathan had a car waiting for him. He actually picked the truck. He won his first race and the boys went wild. Cheering for Nathan and asking him for high 5's, which of course he obliged with a smile.

A good night to be a scout!!
